Jon Spiller was unconvinced by electric vehicles a year ago. Now he has two.

While he was always open to electric vehicles (EVs), Spiller wasn’t going to rush in on a whim.

“I took a very analytical approach,” he says.

The critical piece in his decision-making was empirical evidence that made him confident an EV battery would last the distance. Analysis from Nissan convinced him a Leaf would meet his needs for about 10 years, when he would either sell it on or replace the battery, having got good value out of it in the meantime.
